Five products at DEMOfall09 I will have to check out
written by Scott OlsonDEMOfall09 is fully in swing and there are a number of interesting technologies being launched there this year. Here are five products that I will have to check out:
Tinker.com – This is an interesting aggregator of social media feeds with filters for higher profile tweeters and an ability to add an event stream to your own site. It’s an interesting way to highlight topics at an event you are attending or a particularly relevant current event. Want to check out the widget? It’s on the DEMOfall09 website.
CallSpark! – Aggregates information from multiple sources including social media sites and delivers it to your mobile device. It appears targeted at sales personnel in order to give them information prior to a business call.
Syform – This is an interesting concept. You join a service that trades onsite storage for cloud storage distributed redundantly between your peers on the network. The data is encrypted and backed up across multiple sites providing you with affordable off site storage and disaster recovery capabilities. Interesting to see if they can make this fly.
RumbaFish – RumbaFish brings social interaction to online campaigns with widgets that allow people to promote offerings to their network and get better deals in the process. I would be interested in talking to anyone who uses this service to see what their results were. I’m not sure that I want my friends spamming me with online offers. That could get more annoying than the constant MafiaWars updates I get on my Facebook page.
Traackr – I will definitely check this one out. Followers is a completely failed metric for influence on Twitter and has spawned the incredibly annoying tools to auto follow, auto message, etc. Measuring real influence on the web is important to marketers and if this company can crack the code, more power to them.
