We have Snow Leopard and iLife 11′, but when we drag our logo to the video the only options we have are “Replace, Insert, and Cancel” How do you get those other options? Do we need to upgrade to Lion? is there in iLife software update?

Hi Chuck,

I use Pixelmator and am not an expert by any means. If you are creating a PNG which is transparent, then you only need to select the right size for the image and fit the logo within it and it will simply overlay the logo over your video. When you are creating a new image in Pixelmator you can specify the size in pixels and choose the correct exporting format for PNG. You should be able to create an image like this in any image editing software like Photoshop or Illustrator as well. Hope that helps.

Hi, Thanks for posting about adding logos to iMovie. I have a question regarding how you create the PNG as 1280X720. How do you make it so that it does not stretch it out? Your logo is long but not high and if were to make a logo like yours 1280X720 it would be all stretched out to fit that pixel dimension. I have to add extra text to make it fit those dimensions.

I wanted to give my two bits, a friend of mine who is an author hired Tina and she got him published in Forbes and on Business Week radio. He was happy with the outcome. She also made introductions to her database and got the book into airport shops. Yes, I agree with Scott is one thing to have a database and another to have relationships and Tina has relationships. I think Tina did a great job for my friend who is a business author.

I have had great success using Speechpad on my other site http://www.founderbuzz.com. For the size interviews I am transcribing, they are a perfect option for me, but as I mention in the post, I have also used Mechanical Turk, but it takes more of my time. Glad you liked the post.

Scott, Thanks for doing this post. I could find no info on the Speechpad site on pricing. A backlink seems like a reasonable trade. However, I hope their business model is sound and they do not have a big spike in pricing or a fall off in service. At those prices they must have a slew of cheap freelance help. At. .35 per minute that is $21 per hour. And it goes up from there. Finding some people on Craigslist seems a good strategy at that hourly rate. But, the hassle factor goes up.
